Why Choose CSLIP?
Our Mission
Our Mission is to restore a culture of local partnership by elevating unmatched customer service, transparency and innovative stewardship. We are committed to building long-term relationships; providing purposeful, and actionable resources for all public entities for the benefit of Colorado taxpayers.
The Centennial State Liquid Investment Pool (CSLIP) is a local government investment pool trust fund organized pursuant to § 24-75-701 C.R.S. exclusively available to local governments in the State of Colorado. CSLIP is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of local government finance officials in the State.
CSLIP offers Colorado local governments an effective cash management and investment vehicle. The primary objective of CSLIP’s portfolio is to preserve Participants’ principal while maintaining daily liquidity and maximizing yield. Our portfolio is an appropriate investment option for local governments’ operating and general fund expenses, reserve funds, surplus capital, and permissible proceeds of bond issuances, and CSLIP’s daily liquidity feature provides municipalities with significant flexibility in connection with their investable assets.
Our Goal
CSLIP’s goal is to preserve Participants’ principal while maintaining daily liquidity and maximizing yield. CSLIP seeks to maintain a stable $1.00 per share Net Asset Value (NAV). Investing in fixed income securities of any type involves risks, including credit risks, interest rate risks, and liquidity risks. Like any local government investment pool, CSLIP cannot guarantee a NAV of $1.00 per share.
